Maura closed her eyes. They had jumped when the orphan, so violet as to be umber, yet not black, not ill, had stepped forward. She saw differently. She was ... a freak. She was... in need of quiet. At least, thank goodness, he had not spoken of her. They wanted out. Ha! She would be out long before these orphans would ever leave. She knew Mr. Ross would get her out. He had promised. She listened. But she tried to keep her mind quiet. To not be there. To be inanimate. It was a good trick. She had to practice it for the past two years. Quieting her mind kept the memories away and people missed her... walked past her... she became a pile of rags. With her eyes closed...

Max listened, and absorbed the information put before him and the others. He agreed, normally this would be crazy, but something about this boy was a certain leadership skill that didnt exist with the others, Max couldnt help himself feeling a certain respect for Andrew. "What do I do?" he said softly, giving into the group, he couldnt fight them, they may need his help anyways. He couldnt fix this anymore, he was one of "them".

A smiles forms on Andrew's face. "I'm glad you asked. You and Clyde will have to pull the eyes away from what we are doing, The two of you will need to make a commotion, much as you were about to back in the hall, but this time be mindful because you will be in real danger, if either of you are cot there will be no one to get you out till we finish with tortle, and the Proverbial cat will be out of the bag. So once you have their attention run, stay together because you will only have each other. lead them on keep them occupied for about an hour should be enough time for me to get the information we need and for drake to find the keys. Then met back here, i don't think they'd look here at first, but rest a sured if we stay in one place to long they well find us."

"Proverbial cat"... Maura sighed it. She opened her eyes. No one heard. No one looked at her. Good. She closed her eyes again.

Max had made up his mind, the group, the atmosphere, something in him inspired a new side of the boy. "Lets do it, when, where?" He asked quickly, anxious for it all to come together, to learn about himself through the knowledge of his keepers, this was it! They were going to escape. Finally.

"Not here..." Maura kept her chin down, her voice down. She couldn't risk it. They would screw it all up. And Mr. Ross only asked her one thing, to be a good girl. Do what you're told, she knew, and he'd get her out of there. They would make him mad. Her breath quickened. Quiet... quiet...

OOC: Sorry guys ^^; My comouter was rejecting my network cable for some odd reason...
BiC: Leeyn entered the room just as her roomate Maura greeted her. She was glad the girl didn't mind the odd company she dragged home. Leeyn wandered around the room watering a few plants as she went. She liked to keep a tidy, yet lively looking room, where ever she dwelled. The blank white walls were too overbearing when she was first sent to the academy. She practically had no choice but to spruce it up with a large variety of shrubbery. Not to much though or she'd make Maura seem like she was drowning within an indoor forest. The bubbly female wouldn't want that to happen, afterall, Maura was the only friend she had that was her own age. "My my... they seem to be talking about nonsense..." Leeyn whispered to a vibrant fern as she ran her fingers over it's silky fiddle heads. She payed attention only to the character's introductions to know who she was befriending. Plans were never her forte, but the people... the people were. Then the ploy to leave the building landed upon her ears and her clover eye's widened. They weren't serious were they?

When Leeyn's eyes widened, she stood by a small aloe that she had given Maura the previous summer. Maura didn't smile about it, as she was too frightened to smile, but did remember, with her own memories, how Leeyn had hoped it would help Maura's little problems. Mr. Ross was her one and only true friend here. But Leeyn was comfortable, and Maura could be near her and almost understand things. She appreciated her. She grabbed a hand of Leeyn's, the one without the watering pot (that would be disasterous! Maura's mind warned), carefully avoiding Leeyn's sleeve, and held it to get her attention. Maura would have trembled, but contact with a human helped. She longed for her father right then, his powerful embrace and rough hands. "Please, Leeyn," she whispered, "Not here... Mr. Ross... if he finds out... he works for Tortle. He'd stop..." Maura choked up a bit, and stopped talking, but she'd confessed much to Leeyn over dark nights when skin had brushed something particularly horrid. Leeyn was nothing if not a good listener.

It was Maura's hand that made the girl pay more attention to what was going on around her. Things were developing in a way that wasn't in her favour. Leeyn usually wouldn't mind, but now Maura was disturbed, and she couldn't let that happen. "Excuse me..." She piped up, quieter then usual now that she let her mind take over her talking not her hyperactive emotions. "But this is not a good idea. Just because all of you don't like your enviroments doesn't mean we don't. I'm perfectly happy here, I have no problem with authority because teachers work for the students, and aim to help them. Since I'm a student I won't refuse their help, or go against them in any way. I agree some of them may be corrupt, but violence isn't a suitable to go against them." She really wished she had been paying more attention to what they were talking about anyway... the only things she could remember from their plans was that they were going to target Mr. Tortle, but for what... well... that was about the time she was watering her fern and was distracted by it talking about how much it liked her.

Maura squeezed Leeyn's hand then let go. Leeyn would make them leave. She closed her eyes, trembling now, but thankful for her baggy clothes to hide it. She pushed back again into the corner and tried to watch Leeyn through her eyelids. She could see them all... they were so bright, but she took comfort in Leeyn's honey-green-brown light. Not friends, exactly, but comfortable.

"No, violence is not the answer and will not get us the information we need. And if at all passable you would prefer we not have to use it, but there is some thing about the 5 of you, Lillith has said she has seen you 5 in her dreams, Earth, Air, Electricity, Water, and Fire..." has he speaks the element he jesters to the holder of that element. "You 5 have to stay together if you want to find the truth meaning of your powers, your gifts. Don't you what to know why you have these gifts, or what they are meant for? To know why they haven't told you about what they know or where they found that knowledge? to know why they won't let us out side, and why they would go as far as to shoot at Lillith and Clyde, and almost kill one of them? i don't know who is at the bottom of this but i think tortle is a good place to start..."
"Leeyn, we unfortunately have forced our selves upon you, and for that i am sorry, but you must understand that with the information we have, they, the so called teachers are no looking out for our best interests."

"No! They are too! You are liers!" Maura stood up on the corner of her bed. "I don't want you here. Leeyn doesn't want you here! Didn't you hear her? Why can't you just leave!!" She was visibly trembling. Her voice wasn't loud. It was emotionless, crisp, heavily articulated. "You stupid orphans. Get out and leave her alone. She is happy! Let her be happy! None of you are! You're jealous! You want to hurt her and... and... " With that, she grabbed the pot of the aloe with her bare hand and hurled it into the centre of the floor. It shattered into shards at the feet of Violet-Umber Andrew, and she stared at him for a moment. They were with him, and he would hurt the teachers. He would hurt Mr. Ross. In the mini-silence that followed her outburst, she walked off the bed, onto the floor across the room, not pausing to shoe her feet before walking over the shards, pushed past her room's invaders and started off down the hallway. Anyone to see her face within the cowl of her hoodie may have noticed the intense pain that registered after she touched the pot, and again as the shards ripped her socks and her bare feet touched the orphanage floor, increasing with each step, but she had become, in that moment, numb to the noise of the orpanage's pain. It only fuelled her rage as she decided she must find Mr. Ross. He would know what to do.

Leeyn didn't know what to do. Maura was deeply troubled and she needed to help her. "I'm sorry." She apologeized for her friend as she picked up the broken pot and aloe plant that was on the floor. "But you have to realize... we all don't have the same objectives as you do, after all, we all are very different individuals with very different personalites. We all don't see things the way another person does." The girl re-planted the aloe stalks within one of her other plants, telling it's inhabitant that it would be borrowing it's space for awhile. "I don't have to be part of your group to find the true meaning of my gift. No one can tell me why I have it or what it is meant for because frankly - it's my heart that determines the answer to that question." Leeyn looked to Andrew. "You don't have my heart. None of you do therefore the fact that I have to remain with you all to find these answers is false." She took the broken earthen pot and shifted its materials to form soil, which she then sprinkled over Maura's aloe plant. "I'm here to support people, to be their for them when everything seems so dark and scary." Leeyn smiled. "That's what my powers are for and I won't listen to any other theory." She crossed her arms and stuck out her tounge playfully in a gesture of stubborness. "Now, as long as you're not going to do anything that with hurt another person's feelings I won't mind being on your side."

Maura walked down the hall. She trembled. The anger was wearing off. The screaming was creeping in (there was sreaming in the floor pannels, nails clutching at the wear-smoothed wood, bleeding fingertips, foaming mouths, there was evil here, pain in every step, in glimpses she knew everyone's pain, and in those glimpses it became hers, her tears were theirs, their angers, their fears, men with guns hating and falling water droplets making puddles that had no memory but falling) and she couldn't breath. She moved as quickly down the hallway as her feet could move. They had been cut by the shards of pot. She didn't notice her blood among the layers and layers of blood that lined the hallway. There was so much evil here. She was getting out. Her lower arm thudded against Mr. Ross's door, and then she remembered falling, flat cheeked against the floor, maybe she screamed, but then was black.
