1. Spelling and Grammar - It's just annoying when you spell tah wai yuo think is teh kewl (like that).
If you make a spelling/grammar mistake, it might fall into a few different categories. Maybe you made a simple mistake. Maybe you're too lazy to write 'you'. Maybe you're just being a jerk. Chances are, if you misspell something like 'regard' nobody will mind. But if you're a l337 h@x0r, we do not really care, and you can keep your crap out of here. Also, use proper punctuation. The story just goes so much better when people actually take time with their posts and try their best. If it is your characters speach or dialect, then only right it when he or she (or it) is speaking, and at no other times.
2. Adult Content - All of our RPG's have been known to be a little risque in the past. Please be aware of this. You don't need to participate in it, but it is allowed, so please be aware. (Try not to go overboard. Don't worry, I won't go too far either.)
3. G-Moding - Do not even try it. If you're going to do something to another person's character and you even suspect they might not like it, ask them. PM them, ask them on MSN or AIM or Yahoo, do not really care how you get it done. But if they complain about what you did to their character (and it's acceptable) you face being ban for not less than a week. More if you've done it before. And if you keep pushing you could be banned permanently.
4. Copying Characters - This has got to be the most annoying thing, you can make a completely cool character become as lame as the kid that still picks his nose. I don't care how cool you think your copy-character is, it is still lame and annoying. Create your own, it isn't that hard, you can have someone help you if it is, we're always willing. But there should be no copy characters on this board. Your profile will not be approved if it is. No matter how stubborn you are, it will not be allowed here. I know some boards don't care if you go and completely copy a character or a picture you thought looked nifty, but here it won't happen.
Sorry if I seem like a dick, but it's just a huge pet peeve, plus it makes you look like a newbie in so many ways, it's for the better of you.
5. RPG Rules - Check whatever RPG you're playing for other rules it might have. Or rules it might not have. If you break that board's rules you could be banned from that board or the entire forum. So be careful of what rules you have to follow where.
6. Pointless Post - Please avoid pointless post as much as possible. Though I understand sometimes you just need to post a completely pointless post just to keep your character in story for an RPG, but a pointless post can also be consider spam. It may be acceptable for you to create an inane post within an RPG to keep a character in the story, but outside of an RPG you could end up giving yourself a banning.
The rules may seem strict, but they really aren't. If anyone wants to add anything or request changes, please message me or Rayne or whoever else may end up being a manager here.
Thanks.
[Especially for Rayne who does so much but doesn't get a thank you that often. Here's a big thank you to y'a Rayne; If you're curious about why this is here, it's because I used a rule or two from her---she's very kind sometimes, but she can be a hell of a demon when she wants to be O.O]
Note: These are subject to change, so please keep up.
