Devlin woke up early and turned around to see if Meri hadn't desided to leave that night. Seeing her there he just smiled and turned to leave her alone to sleep somemore.

Meri was awake just about when he was going to leave. "Ah!" the girl said suddenly.
"You- why are you going..?"

Devlin looked back and smiled lightly "It's early. I thought I would let you sleep more." He looked down at her clothes, they were pretty ripped up "After breakfast. Why don't we find you something to wear."

The girl nodded a bit, slightly uncomfortable.
"..okay.." she said slowly, standing where she was. "Can I have breakfast with you?"

Devlin opened the flap to the tent to let Meri out "Of course you can. We have a mighty good cook, what do would you like?"

"..fish?" she asked. She hadn't really had much lately.
Mint had been a vegetarian, but Meri really liked fish...

"We'll see if that can be arrange." Devlin said as they walked across the encampment. He looked down at Meri "You don't seem to be afraid of me as much anymore" He smiled. He stopped and turned around and bent down to Meri's ear "I'll tell you a secret that not even my men know. They think that we are taking you to Collin because you have hurt him in the past. This is not so. The true reas--" Devlin was cut off as a few of his men were walking by. He would not speak of this infront of them.
Devlin winked at Meri and rose back up "I'll tell you later. Let's just say, you will be his honoured guest."

Meri was a bit alarmed at that. What did that mean? She hardly knew any humans...
She forced a smile, and nodded a little. "..okay.." she said. "..I'll be brave then."

Devlin smiled back and continued on the way to the kitchen. Well what was considered the kitchen "Well here we are" He said as he opened the flap and let Meri in. The tent was already full and filled with soldiers, a few of them were even part of the group that had attacked Meri the other day. Though when they saw Devlin and Meri walk in they seemed to have a look of fear in their eyes.

Meri had a similar expression mirrored back on them. How many women had they done that to, before? She was scared of them; if Devlin wasn't there, they might attack her again..
"..there are lots of people..." she whispered.

Devlin just smiled at his men and took Meri to the closest table with no one on it.
The cook came over to their table and looked at both. He was young compared to the others, around 19. "And what can I do for the two of you"
"What kind of fish do you want?" Devlin asked as he looked at Meri.

"It doesn't matter. Just something." she said. She really was impartial. Just hungry. The girl hadn't smiled much since she'd arrived, and she wasn't going to start now. She was nervous.

The cook nodded and left as quickly as he arrived.
"It is going to take a few days to arrive. We will head out tomorrow morning." Devlin said quietly as he took a sip from the drink that the cook brought. "I have made sure that the men responsible for last nights actions shall not be joining us and will be sent somewhere else."

Meri frowned a bit, staring at her hands.
"...nobody else will do that, will they?" she asked. She hated this. She didn't want to be here.. she missed Edan..

"No one will." Devlin said as the cook came up to them and with their food. A large fish was laying on a plate that he left infront of Meri. Infront of Devlin was simply a plate of bread. "Well enjoy."
